Description:

The course is designed to give rigorous analysis of some basic propositions in microeconomic. The primary goal is game theory and asymmetric information and their applications in finance.

  • Basic Elements of Noncooperative Game Theory

  • Simultaneous-Move Games: Backwards induction, Dominance

  • Dynamic Games

  • Asymmetric Information: Signalling games, Adverse selection.

  • The Principal-Agent Problem: Moral Hazard, Risk sharing, Transaction costs.

Teaching:
