 Course Module: Theory of Systems in Economics

Description:

This module presents the fundamentals of systemics, with applications in economics and business, in order to offer a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of micro and macro systems, and to promote systematic interventions (including also the conceiving of new systems). Based on the fundamental principles of constructivism, the course focuses on the foremost models that form the systemic approach (the model of variable systems, the “Organisation – information – decision” model etc), on the instruments designed to use a systemic approach in solving decision and strategy issues, managing change, and creating and using knowledge.
